It’s ironic that I am asked by Nielsen Media Research to complete a Radio Listening Diary for the week I start my very own podcast. Since I bought my iPod a couple of years ago I’ve rarely listened to the radio. Know I almost exclusively listen to podcasts like G’day World and Adam Curry’s Daily Source Code.
Well, on the very same day the survey starts The Gadget Show was launched as part of The Podcast Network.
The process actually started a few weeks ago when I began discussions with Cam and Mick. Since then I’ve been teeing up interviews and conducting a few. It’s really been an amazing process. Especially since I had the opportunity to chat with Cory Doctorow on my very first show.
Lesson 1 : Get a good Microphone.
Lesson 2 : Learn to work around Skype latency.
Lesson 3 : Cut down on the word ummmm.
More lessons to come I’m sure.

Congrats on your initiative with this! Had a listen to Cory show. I thought he came across as rude and self-absorbed. Still, found the stuff on Canary Wi-Fi detector interesting.
