I got pretty excited this afternoon. Just before dashing home I found my daily email from Business 2.0 in my inbox. One of the main articles was “A Proposal for the Recording Industry: Embrace MP3!” by Eric Hellweg. Part of my book deals with the Recording Industry, and the massive change that they are facing. I’ve read a bit about this recently, forming an opinion the other night on where I believe it is all headed. One of the reasons for the excitment was that this gave me the chance to have a read and critically analyse something on DotBlog tonight.
I read part of the article in the email, to finish it I was directed to the above link. The problem is, that that link does not appear to exist at the time of writing. So in Business 2.0′s wisdom, they don’t tell you about the error, they simply redirect you to their home page. You could spend an infinite amount of time clicking on the link and ending up staring back at the link to the article you just clicked on the home page. I wouldn’t say I spent an infinite amount of time, but just enough for me to give up in frustration and email a suggestion to 2.0.
I can’t see me getting my 15 minutes of fame. I just wasted it surfing broken links.
